Welcome to the Redding School of the Arts Strings Program webpage.

Last two performances:

*Friday, May 18th.  This is for the afterschool string ensemble that meets on M/W/F,  arrive at 6 P.M. at the McConnell Foundation building (across the street from us).  We'll perform "Lord of the Dance" and the "Gold" winners will perform the Pachelbel Canon. Wear black and white.

*Tuesday, May 29th, arrive by 5:30, at RSA theater.  Wear black and white. This concert will include all string classes.  Pieces performed will be: "Lord of the Dance," Over the Rainbow," "French Folk Song," "Bear Creek Hop," and "Oh Susannah."

*Saturday, June 2nd is the Amature Fiddle Contest at the Pilgram Congragational Church. You need to perform by memory a Hoedown, walzt and a tune of choice.

In May, the R.S.A. String Ensemble performed at C.S.U. Sacramento  at the "State" level and won the "Gold Medal Award." This is a huge accomplishment for our R.S.A. musicians!

I will be teaching private lessons over the summer at Mike's Music for anyone interested in keeping their skills up and getting a lot better over the vacation.

Virtuoso violinist, Michael Eby (Manhattan School of Music)performed for our R.S.A. kids and had two masterclasses with them...also, the son of Mrs. Eby.
