Saturday, March 3, 2012,
Hello Everyone,
I can hardly believe we have already finished two of our three trimesters for this school year. It has been a year full of challenges, victories, fun and wonderful events. And we aren't finished yet. I am very excited about what's coming up . . .
On Saturday, April 28th, we will join the city of Redding in the annual celebration of the Whole Earth Festival. All seven of Mr. Burkett's music classes will be performing as well as the two RSA rock bands. The festivities begin at 10:00 AM and will finish at 3:00 PM. Please mark your calendars and plan to be a part of this wonderful event.
(Please see the attached 4/28 letter.)
This year, RSA's spring all-school theme day, "The Great American Adventure," will be held on Friday, May 18th from 8:15 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. at the RSA campus and will focus on early California and American history. The classes of Ms. Krupit, Mrs. Humphrey and Mrs. Hansen as well as Mr. Burkett's orffestra class, Mrs. Rogerson's drama class and Mrs. Steffensen's dance class will be performing the musical "The Adventures of Lewis and Clark" at the start of this amazing day and again on Tuesday, May 22nd at 6:30 in the evening.
(Please see the attached 5/18 letter ... revised.)
It's still possible to purchase dvds of our 12/21/11 American Tapestry concert ($15) and/or our spring musical of Cinderella ($20).
Please make out your checks to Dave West.
Sincerely,
Mr. Burkett
