I went to school to become an elementary teacher, but my career has taken me through many different roles centered around children and education. I’ve managed my own daycare program; taught pre-K, kindergarten, first, and second grade; worked for Girl Scouts of Northern California for 10 years; served as the librarian at Redding School of the Arts for 2 years; joined the RSA Independent Study team as a teacher for 3 years; and now I’m so excited to be returning to the kindergarten classroom once again.  

I’m a graduate of Lassen High School.  Go Grizzlies!

Having a positive growth mindset is something I work to embody every day.  To me, being positive means finding the good and the beauty in all people, situations and things. 

Growth mindset simply means that I am a life-long learner who is growing all the time.  If something is hard for me, I will work hard at it to achieve success.  I don’t believe that people are fixed in being either good or bad at something.  With hard work and a positive attitude, we can make things happen.
