Mrs. Vanessa Thomas🦊

This marks my 18th year teaching. I completed my bachelor's degree and obtained my multiple-subject teaching credential at California State University, Chico. Subsequently, I earned authorizations for single-subject teaching in Social Science and English, along with my Career Technical Education credential. Recently, I achieved my master’s degree in Learning Experience Design and Educational Technology. 

I’m from Red Bluff, CA. I graduated from Red Bluff High School. I have lived in Redding since 2016. I'm married, and my daughter, Callie, attends RSA. I love reading, spending time with my family, learning, group fitness classes, and traveling. I also speak some French and lived in Belgium as a Foreign Exchange Student. I acted in high school and college. Teaching at RSA has inspired me to return to community theater. Over the summer, I auditioned for a local community theater program and was not offered a role. I am looking forward to auditioning again next year, armed with some monologue suggestions from my amazing students. I feel lucky to be a part of the art-focused school community at Redding School of the Arts!
