📚LIBRARY VISION
The RSA Library provides an environment in which students develop a life-long enjoyment of reading and learning. Our students become effective locators, evaluators and users of information. Our library supports student achievement of curricular goals and objectives.

The RSA Library maintains a collection of reading materials that engage our diverse student community and support the classroom curriculum in a welcoming, supportive and organized space.
📚LIBRARY RULES
Listen to the librarian and your teacher.
Inquire (ask) if you need help.
Be kind.
Read and talk quietly.
Always walk, never run.
Return books to their proper places (use shelf marker).
Your manners are appreciated.
📚CHECKING OUT AND RETURNING BOOKS
- Check out limit: two books at a time per student
- Check out limit kindergarten: one book at a time per student
- Book due date: Two weeks after the check-out date
- Students will be given notice if they have books that are overdue.
- Check out procedure: Student goes to checkout desk and gives the librarian or volunteer first and last name when checking out books.
📚LIBRARY RESPONSIBILITY
- The student is responsible for keeping track of their library books.
- Lost or damaged books will have to be replaced by student/parent with either the same book or the cost of the book.
- Prior year fines must be paid before a student may check out library materials.
- Please do not try to repair damaged items. Return them to the library for special library repair.
- Students may not have food or drink in the library.
- Caution is required in the area where the green carpet is located. This area is elevated, and the children are not allowed to play on this area. Students are allowed to sit on the green carpet and read quietly.
- The third floor of the library is an RSA staff office space.
- No one is allowed to play on the stairs.
