Parent Teacher Council (PTC)
Welcome to Redding School of the Arts PTC!
At RSA, our Parent-Teacher Council (PTC) is a vibrant community dedicated to enhancing
the educational experience for all students. We are committed to fostering strong partnerships
between parents, teachers, and the wider school community to support our students' academic
and personal growth.
What We Do:
- Support and Enrichment: We organize events like our annual Veterans Day breakfast and Staff Appreciation Week, fundraisers such as the Fox Trot (Jog-A-Thon) and the Annual Auction, and programs that enrich the educational experience and provide
additional resources to our school like the Renaissance Learning Software used to
promote reading comprehension and grants to purchase needed classroom tools. - Community Building: Through various activities and meetings, such as an all school
skate night and all school water play days we create opportunities for families to
connect, collaborate, and engage in school life. We support the schools character
building mission by providing the Character Awards given out at the assemblies. - Communication: PTC works closely with the Teachers, Staff, Administration and the
School Board and receives regular reports from each of these important parts of our
community as they are shared at each general meeting.
Get Involved:
Volunteering with PTC is a great way to stay connected with your child’s school, contribute to its
success, meet other parents and have volunteer hour requirements met at the same time. We
welcome volunteers of all interests and schedules, and there are many ways to get involved,
from attending meetings to helping with events, it can be as simple as coming to the Fox Trot for
one hour! PTC meetings also count toward school volunteer hours.
